Why are most of the people who defend the pixelated graphics so incredibly bad at forming sensible arguments? It's just strawman after strawman with these people.
Woot, another strawman! And wrong. The "reimagined" incarnation of the remake wasn't abandoned because of backer pressure, it was abandoned because Night Dive ran out of money to develop it and couldn't secure additional publisher backing. There was an entire Kickstarter update detailing what happened.
There's nowhere for it to go aside from back-and-forth "my taste is better than yours", so why bother trying to debate it?
You dont even own the game on steam and dont seem to have an argument besides, 'I dont like it, therefor bad'. Why are you even posting anything at all? I could get it if you bought it, and were upset that the graphics didnt meet your personal standard set by football manager.
I am not trying to persuade anyone, I am telling you how pointless *your* attempt at persuasion is. They won't change the game for you and no one will suddenly dislike the look because of what you say. So what exactly are you trying to achieve here?
Get a job and buy the game, bozo, then you can at least have a reason to be such a whiny dork. Most people like the game, the art style and everything else you whine about; it's one of the few recently released games that has been well-received.
"y-you don't have to pay for something to openly criticize it". Yes you don't have to, but why waste your time whining about something you don't like?
the entire game is pixel textures, however the scale of those pixels, and the visibility I can absolutely fault as being a bit messy/ hit or miss. I would have liked consistent pixel scaling on surfaces/props and generally high contrast approach. 95% of the game does this very well, keeping to a generally about 1 pixel per 1 inch scale and high contrast in the pixel art. but then there's assets once in a while like the bed sheet in your apartment in the intro. the pixel scale is way too dense, the prop has a scale of like 4x4 pixels per inch, and it's so low contrast the pixel art blends together, making it look visually out of place compared to other props. this only happens rarely in the game, but it's a bit jarring every time i run into one.
