Okay I may have been wrong on the one save file thing. Even so, the damn tab to create a new save slot in the bottom right is so freakin small I didn't even realize it was there until the mistake was already made.. ugh
There is NO confirmation for deleting or overriding a save.
Also not being able to name saves sucks -_-
Then I checked the game folder and noticed my save games are where they always were, in: System Shock Remake\SystemShock\Binaries\Win64\SystemShock\Saved\SaveGames.
I deleted the Saved Games folder in C:\Users\User\ folder and now my saves are available again...
GOG version. No idea if the same can happen with Steam, but it's really strange.
EDIT: From further investigation, it seems like the game decides to use C:\Users\User\Saved Games for saving if the Saved Games folder exists. If the folder doesn't exist, then it saves into the game's folder. So if you play the game and you don't have the Saved Games folder in User folder, and later some other game will create Saved Games folder, your saves will disappear.
Not sure if this is the issue you are having.
I get something completely different of that: Saved Games in the first folder and no folder whatsoever in the second location, start game and NO saved games at all!!!
Can someone fix this!!!
great work Nightdive.
