How is everyone's GPU temperature in this game ?
So anyone noticed the game kinda makes the GPU work harder ?

For me my max temp during summer in most days it's about 62'C - i have good cooling.

But for some reason System Shock is making my coolers ramp up a lot and even made my GPU hit a new 65'C max temp.

A lot of more demanding games like AC ODYSSEY, METRO EXODUS, HITMAN 3, COD MODERN WARFARE 2 they don't even make my GPU go beyond 62'C and those are far more intensive and i've done quite a lot of benchmarks.

How is the GPU temp for you guys ?

Hovering around 60-75. I'm however running it through Linux, which has some overhead.

65° is perfectly fine. Actually, it's pretty cool. GPU's can go to 100°. Don't worry.

My GPU never really gets hotter than 50 degrees, being water cooled and all. Even got an achievement in 3Dmark where i kept it under 65 degrees during a dx12 stresstest. My GPU is an RTX 3080 and I've cranked up the power limits and clock a bit.
So more reliable way of me measuring heat is by checking wattage usage with MSI afterburner. And the game pulls about 200-250W while playing. At most I've seen my GPU pull up to 350W in more demanding titles.. so i wouldn't say this is a particularly hot running game.

Most modern GPUs are built to withstand degrees as hot as 90 degrees. So 65 degrees is.. not very hot.. Like my old Vega 56 ran at a mouth watering 90degrees with the stock cooler... and that was a "normal" temp for that card. 😅

68-70 on my 3080, but that's pretty typical for most newer games, for me. I have a fairly aggressive fan curve though, so that helps.

My 3070 asus noctua ed. doesnt go above 55° at 165 FPS (vsync) dlssQ max settings. Not really a gpu intensive game. Your problem is elsewhere.

GTX 1660 Super, 1200p60, VSync enabled: quiet and below 45°C.

Honestly pretty hot, running an OC'd 1080 at 1440p, 200% render res and all settings maxed bar shadows set to high and it's running at around 80°C and I'm getting frames varying from 66 to about 80fps. Resolution seems to make very little difference, it's all post processing, just surprised by how hard shadows seem to hit it. If I bump shadows to ultra I go right down to around 40 frames. All made a bit more confusing by quality and res settings being a bit bugged based on applying them in game or in the menu

rtx 3050 no sweat 40c but I have no idea how to play or what to do it looks great but seems pointless and lacking.

Never seen my 4090 go over 60 degrees, even at 4k upscaled to 8k at 120 fps.

Any idea which extra settings will have the biggest impact? Trying to keep my room from turning into a sauna. It doesn't look like I can test the visible difference in texture or shader levels without restarting the game.

Hell is cooler then my GPU levels my GPU levels sit at a whopping 89°C and the back of my PC chassis is quite hot, I live in Australia so yeah I'll need a NOS2 Turboinjection system with liquid Nitrogen and liquid helium just to get the PC at normal temps.
