cant find the broken interface demodulator

I have checked all three maintenance rooms and all rows of modulators, multiple times. From a guide I know that there is supposed to be an error sign above one of the modulator rows but there was none. Am I missing something? I have tiped the code into a terminal, which said that the modulator now has to be replaced.

There's a big room with a power station and a gravity lift, it's before you enter any of the maintenance corridor areas. Ride the lift upwards and enjoy.

Okay, this is a pain in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass. It's definitely there, do not hug the walls expecting to find it. I think it might be in alpha quadrant. All i remember is that it is more so in the middle than around the edges of the maintenance room. It's different than in the original so don't expect going back to old walkthroughs to find out if that's where it is.

Wait, do you need the actual Demodulator or do you need the location where it should be installed?

The Demod is up the grav lift in the big room, the Relay itself is in Delta Maintenance.

I think you might have misunderstood. I allready have a working modulator in my inventory, but I cant find the spot where it is supposed to go.

Delta Delta, it is there, It even has one of the 5 Demodulators sticking out be kinda burned.

If that's 428 and it looks like this, just go back to the Master Jettison Switch and flip it :)

Found it. There's a door that heads to a fourth set of tunnels, going north. I can't believe I missed it. It's to the left (east) when you're heading south, leaving the room with the relay analyzer, where you have to enter the code 428.

Is there a 4th set of tunnels? I've only found three and can't find the broken demodulator. Please help.

there are 4 maintenance tunels. one on every quadrant.
