Am I missing an upgraded biosuit or something?

I got the biosuit but I can't explore the groves without dying because enabling the suit doesn't give me 100% protection. My health and energy constantly drain as I'm simultaneously being attacked by enemies everywhere. Is there an improved suit somewhere?

Had the same problem and it gave me quite a headache, but I just ran with it as it's only Beta that is the problem. I managed to clear the Grove, flip the lever and make it back with one Health Kit and 2 Patches.

There are upgraded suits, but afaik they only add radiation protection, they do not add bio protection. The thing is, you, to my knowledge, you will not get the suits right now. If you're interested, I can elaborate, but for spoiler's sake I'll say no more.
