Where even is Eidos at this point? Didn't Square Enix sell them off along with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of related IP like Deus Ex and Tomb Raider?

I can only imagine what the original trilogy would be like with modern graphics (with style since realistic doesn't age well) and all modern lighting techniques since the gameplay relies on lights and shadow.

Square sold Eidos and all their IP to Embracer Group.

yeah that would be awesome. Having the rights to ultima underworld 1 and 2 as well. This team know how to make good games and I would like to see them develop this titles or even make their own IP.

They tried to revitalise it with the Thief 4 game (Thi4f), but it just didn't feel like a Thief game with all that quick time nonsense and the forced events.

A decent alternative that is quite old but still good is the Dark Mod.

I missed out on T1+2, but I absolutely loved Deadly Shadows back then. So I would enjoy a remake of that one.
