Door code not working for Storage 9 on Storage deck; door won't open

ETA: I solved this, see end of post.

So, I played through the Storage deck; I haven't destroyed the CPU nodes yet, and there are 2 doors I've yet to figured out how to open. 1 is clearly to a tiny area, the other is Storage 9. I've cleared the dec accept for those doors and destroying the nodes, as far as I can tell.

Along the way, I found the two audio notes indicating the 3-digit password for Storage started and ended with 8, leaving only the middle digit to figure out. So I went to storage 9 and tried the 10 different passcodes that begin and end with 8. All of them flashed red (not accepted). At that point, I presumed I'd not entered the right code by mistake, and so went through them. But no joy - same result.

Then I searched the internet and found a few text walkthroughs saying it's 838 , and also a video walkthrough where the player entered 838, which flashed green and opened Storage 9.

But that doesn't work for me, nor does any other code starting and ending with 8.

I've tried reloading from a slightly older save and leaving the level and coming back, but neither helped.

I've found no indication that anything else is required to open this door (e.g. lower secrutiy to a certain level), but I guess my next step is to destroy the CPU nodes on that level and hope it helps, hope that brings me to Security Level 0, and then try again.

Does anyone have thoughts on what's happening here? Is this a bug? Have you run into it?

HOW I SOLVED THIS: It was indeed the security level. I took the CPU nodes out, and that brought me to !% Security for the level (the last camera to get to 0 is in room 9). A new lesson for me: a keypad door may have a security level requirement, and the hint to that fact is, when you enter the correct code, but the door fails to open, the keypad will flash "Sec" as it errors out. The sad part is, I saw that code, thought it was probably saying "Sec" (the low res look of this game - I'm not a fan of it myself - made my uncertain of the letter's being shown; now that I know what was needed to open the door, it's clear they were saying "Sec"). Well, maybe this post will help some other poor fool ;)

I just loaded a save, tried the correct code and incorrect code before getting security down any amount, and it tells me I need lower than 20% security at the top left both times just like any other door. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2988636972
And as you said, the keypad itself also flashes SEc.

You only have to guess one number. It's that much of an utter bullsht. I remember one guy from while back who brute forced it. A true hacker.
