above engineering "restoration bay" area there are 2 sets of laser barrier doors in a hallway, one of which you can deactivate.

But is there a way to turn off the 2nd pair? I could not determine how to do this.
It would create a nice shortcut to the starting point elevator if you could.

There's a console near one of the laser barrier with a button on it, pushing it will disable one of the 4 barriers. Pushing it repeatedly and it will cycle through all 4 of them.

oh wow. thank you. they really should have had that game mechanic more than just once. no where else in the game does a button cycle like that.
