That one took me a bit of time to figure out, mainly because one of the nodes that rotates tiles around it happens to have a connection that allows power to pass through it. it's hard to see but it's there.

Yeah, this looks correct. Sometimes those rotator nodes have paths through but none of the ones on this board do.

FWIW, I find it extremely unlikely that the game will generate an unsolveable puzzle, most likely the game starts by generating a solution and then adds the rest of the board afterwards.

Thanks, but I already refunded it, tho. Was just no fun to get hit with something like this from the get go. Plus I can't get into the weirdly lowres/highres mix of graphics....

That's alright, no handholding isn't for everyone these days. Maybe you shouldn't have started the game on a difficulty that you are not actually comfortable playing at might have helped.

Yeah... My puzzle is also impossible, there's only one viable rotation for the input, and all the possible combinations lead straight to the wall
Wish there was a dlc that allowed me to pay to skip this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ puzzle

They are all possible. I finished the game 100% with all achievments on 3/2/3/3 and after that on a second run on 3/3/3/3 and i can tell you there is none broken puzzle in this game. You can solve them all by time. Maybe it's just not for everyone.

You simply can play on difficulty 1 puzzels if its not for you. They should be done easily.

No puzzles in this game are impossible.

If you're hitting a snag on the rotation puzzle, it's probably because you're not seeing the orange lines on a circle piece.

It's just you...
I'm 100% sure you haven't tryed hard enough. At the beginning i was sitting over 20 minutes one puzzle until i solved it. Once you get more practice it's getting better and better. If you give me the puzzle i'm sure i'm solving it straight up.

Post a screenshot and someone will probably solve it for you.

On the first "level" there is an item you can find that bypasses these puzzles, just an FYI.

Seems a lot of people are getting a system shock (heh) when they play this game.

Back in the 90s, this sort of game was going to be played by people who were already computer enthusiasts, and probably already played chess or games like Pipe Mania.

I don't recall the puzzles in the original game (at average difficulty) being extremely complicated for me. But I was already the sort of person that this game was geared for: Hacker-y computer-y people. As one person put it (in another topic about the puzzle difficulty): I was already into this NERD SH!T. :D

I'm not intending to call people dumb by saying all that, but I feel the market for gaming has changed quite a lot. PC gaming used to be a very specific segment of people and in today's world it is a much more varied audience.

Nightdive clearly made this game for people like me, who owned a box copy of the original PC (and who barely was able to run it on their crappy 486 at the time, heh). It's got a few modern-day general gaming market concessions but largely the feel and structure of the game remains the same as the original.

And yeah, that's not going to be for everybody.
