You will sometimes spot these ball cameras in the ceiling, rotating back and forth. If you shoot it, it will retreat into the ceiling and then pop back out a few seconds later. They cannot be destroyed and aren't linked to SHODAN so they don't affect the security percentage of the level.

I think the new patch made them destructible. I recall trying to destroy one on Executive for fun and it tanked all the bullets, but tried on Security when testing something else and it worked.

As far as for anything, no. If you destroy them, the monitor recording the footage from somewhere in the level just turns off.

...it was not the patch....i destroyed them before the patch also - just saying !
