You needed to lower security % to access mission switch but in beta you can just use turbo V2 and fly straight to the switch and get out.
Aside from that there is a magpulse upgrade which raises dmg from 60 to 75 and from 150 to 180 when pumped up.You need that if you want the all weapons upgraded achievement
* Navigation and Mapping Unit v3
* Jump Jet v2
Do you know if these are available in remake and some of those are hidden behind some door with 0% security required?
Damn you devs, this is clearly a BUG :P
But yes logically you should not need to kill them but I assume you need to kill them.
Better safe than sorry.
Jump jet V2 is now a function of Turbo V2 first found on the strorage behind the 0% security door.
While turbo is on you hold space to "fly".So remake combines lot of wares.
Navigation map unit is maxed at V2 in the remake there is no V3.
And sense around now does something the OG Navigation did for FREE but in the remake sense around/loot scanner cost 12 enegery per minute.
Basically you can skip 90% of the beta grove and you save TONS of medical supplies.
Otherwise Beta grove just have basic ammo and such for drop.
Alpha has the energy weapon which likely replaces the sparkbeam.
a V3 target indentifier if not found before a magpulse which likely was already found
Delta has the chess puzzle which if done gives an inventory upgrade and it has the combat shield version 2.
it basically lured you to waste time and resources, while in the remake it really makes you "go fast" and I mean fast, unlike that stupid balloon in that awful UAP video^^
both variants have not much of interest, so nothing you possibly missed out on
you´d meet Beta Grove again in SS2 anyways
