So do I need the anti-radiation suit?
I haven't made it to beta grove yet, just alpha, but watching the Gmanlives review, he said that beta grove is fully-radiated and that to get a protective suit, you need to do some typical convoluted ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on some other floor and that wasn't including all the stuff you've gotta do after you stop the virus.

Just warn me now: Can I just soldier through beta grove like other radiated zones until now, or do I absolutely need that suit?

Because if so: ♥♥♥♥ this ♥♥♥♥, I'm out.

It's not really convoluted, just explore storage...
But if you can't bothered, you should be able to rush through if you've got plenty of healing and stamina regeneration stocked up

If you have the boost shoes V2 you can speedrun that grove in under a mintue, without the shoes there's an extra step but i managed it with 2 medkits.

If you find the V2 rocket boots and know exactly where you are going, have quite a stash of detox and regen patches. You can *sort* of do it without the suit. Beta grove is only really bad if you go through it as intended. If you have the big boy brain power to abuse the rocket boots and know some of the jump spots. You can largely just skip to the end and back in a minute or two.

But considering you are complaining about playing the game on a basic level being too hard, finding the V2 rocket boots is probably way too hard for you. So my recommendation is shoot your shot with the refund. You are at alpha grove according to you, so the chances of you being able to refund is 0.

GG no handhold vidya is too hard

Well, the good news is that if you got that far and picked up all logs you saw maybe you already know where to get the v1 suit and basically also the code to open the door. The keypad might even be on your map. If not, looking it up is your only option. Doing it the regular way on normal took me 4-5 close runs even with the suit, without the aforementioned exploitation of the hover boots it will be impossible since a death in the grove is a gamer over.

Where do you find that suit? I'm running out of exploration options, having explored pretty much all of medical, science, maintenance, flight deck, storage and reactor, except for the radiated areas in reactor and maintenance. Maybe I overlooked the thing somewhere?

The biohazard suit is located in lv4 Storage, behind a keypad locked door. You can find part of the 3 number code by listening to 2 logs which can be found around storage. The code is 838 if you're not too bothered to run around looking for the logs.

The v2 radiation suit can be found after gaining access to the maintenance level after a certain event.

I already found the v1, but it's not that much of a protection against 100+ radiation levels. Am I supposed to go into the reactor core anyway?

You will need to head down to the core at some point. Al-tough, you can technically cheeze it without the suit by running back and forth to the medbay there.

And the v1 is biohazard only. So obviously it wont do anything against radiation. You need v2 for that. And yes, it does make a big difference in how long you can be in there.

Turns out I wasn't authorized to pull the lever in reactor core that probably would have disabled the force fields around the central gravity lift. So, I suppose I won't be going to executive anytime soon either with the power diversion active. Gonna see if I missed something in maintanance then... I'm gonna do this without a walkthrough yet lol...

Oh wait, you're still on dealing with the laser. You may wanna focus on that part first. And you don't need to head down the core just yet. Soo avoid that for a while :sans:

If you're not sure how to deal with the laser. Then look around research level for logs to get ideas on how to blow up the laser.

Ok thanks, it's gone now. First I skipped the area in research where the isotope is because of radiation. Then I had forgotten all about the number on the wall in the library or what it could possibly be for, because I've been clearing 3 or 4 complete decks since I did that cyberspace section and there's no mention in the logs. This game... :shodan::trilogo::xerxes:
