Dragon Breath Ammo - did i miss something ?
This ammo is supposed to be effective against organic but it seems to make little to no damage at all to any lifeform. Any important thing i missed ?

Edit: I kinda expect the first thought to be "well you gotta aim..." but just believe me i do :)

The burning effect takes a few seconds

Basic shot deals 100 dmg the dragon breath ammo deals 30 dmg and 120 dmg over time.

Yeah it should be buffed either dot 100% faster or deal 75+75 dmg so impact dmg is bigger.

Obviously it has low armor pen so it againts organics and low tier cyborgs.

Aim at the head (with all weapons), which seems to do more damage. I need two headshots to four in the general direction of the opponents body. I noticed late, when robots are the majority of foes, that aiming for the head helps with the ammo.

Well you gotta aim...

...right at the trash can, because that's where these awful shells belong. They're honestly not even worth the inventory slot they take.

Looking back, I gotta agree with the above two posts. Outside of the first visit to Maintenance and Beta Quad in Executive, I never really touched Dragon's Breath rounds again.
Most enemies are robotic, and the enemies that are organic are often better dealt with using other weapons.

They're ammo efficient against organic targets for ducking and cover shots, letting the burn do its damage before shooting again. Like I used them against the late-game cyborg mutants and it only took like 3 shots, and these guys are considerably tanky.

What i thought. Using AP ammo anyways since it´s much more commonly found and inventory place is precious :)

It's also good for gorilla tigers, if you're backing up as you shoot them. And if something can shoot back instead of trying to get close and melee you, for what Zalugar mentioned, pop and shoot.

I tend to save these rounds for the Groves, since they have a lot of biological enemies.
