Well... technically the truth I guess.
Dear ZylonBane,
you know that i always do this...
you already told me that when i modded prey 2017 !
https://www.nexusmods.com/prey2017/mods/101
Btw, some of the things you mod are unnecessary (like the jumping, it works just fine, you have to do a crouch jump, google it).
between "this game is trash"
and
"these mods are just cheats"
i am not sure what is salvageable...
i do not take it personally,
i made this mod because i felt that the game could use a smooth edge
you are free not to use this mod, it is not made for everyone.
also technically this is a collection of minimods, so people can pick and choose which changes they want to have. they are not forced to get all of the changes if they do not like it.
i finished the game unmodded, then i decided to customize it to my liking, and i also decided to share my mod, so that it could benefit other people too.
And that is fine if that's the way you prefer to play, but you've essentially removed any and all challenge from the game. I would not want to play that way.
But that's the neat thing about mods. I can choose not you.
i do not see it that way, i removed the annoying parts.
if i wanted to cheat i would give me invulnerability and unlimited energy and ammo...
if you like to play with a masochistic punishing reward, and unnecessary time waster mechanics... go for it.

Am I getting through to you here? Can you understand why this would suck?
So, while I may not use the Nixos mod, I would definitely say "good job" and encourage modding.
The community shouldn't dump on someone modding a game. Even if you don't like the specific tweaks, the knowledge gained during the modding process is important. OP has shared videos on how to mod, and that's fantastic.
