No subtitles?
I can understand if there aren't subtitles for the pre-alpha demo. But I am REALLY hoping that the final game will have subtitles for the non-native English speakers. But if that's not the case, I will cancel my Kickstarter pledge. :/

I also felt the lack of subtitles. But since this is a pre-alpha and since subtitles are a pretty standard feature, I can't imagine not being present on the final game.

True. Subtitles is a standard feature for games in 2016 and I'm hoping it's there in the final game.
However, I will wait for the dev's confirmation for this. So I still have 29 days, before taking a final decision regarding my pledge. :)

It did says no subtitles on the main pages, extremely frustrating as I heavily relied on it to enjoy video games (profoundly deaf).

The final version of the game will contain the English subtitles. But inclusion of subtitles in other languages will depend on where they meet the stretch goals for the same. This was conveyed by the dev on their Reddit forum.

On a related note, I wonder if it would be possible for them to patch-in the English subtitles for the demo?
