Ore and stuff runs out?

I just started a free play game to figure things out, and I saw that mine locations have limited amounts of ore. Does this mean that ore and coal sources eventually run out? If that happens, then that means I can't really have like an endless city going, right? Eventually, I'll run out of resources?

Use your Tech population to make a laboratory and research additional drills to refresh the element amounts.

or you can burchase things that refill different types of node from computer players such as trench coat

At late stage when you have enough tech population let them make the drills/probes

The resource are always unlimited if you probe them frequently, personally I probe it for a few times to bring the resource level up to 30kt + just to make management easier.

you can also build ore generators (i cant think of the name off the top of my head) via researchers they are infiinite but large and underwater only.

With Deep Ocean, you can make super drills once you get Geniuses in your Tech colony. They replenish a LOT. I think the coal one gives like 72k tons or something crazy like that.
