Anno 2070 Deep Ocean issue
I purchased the new Expansion pack Deep Ocean for Anno 2070 and after the install I ran the game and upon entering the game I noticed that none of the text is visible in the menu's or in the actual game. The game will run but no text is visible at all any help?

-Update-

After doing some research I found that you have to download the auto patcher and run it to get the proper updates for Deep Ocean after doing that game runs flawlessly.

Btw I purchased both my copies from steam and it works as IceBear stated.

Vilkacus: I too have the same problem, Two other anomalies concern me. The base program displays the message in the lower right hand corner: "Game modding detected".That seems to indicate to me that the update is not working properly. Secondly my account history shows I purchased Anno 2070 Deep Ocean, but right clicking the Anno 2070 game entry in my inventory and selecting the DLC entry doesn't show Deep Ocean as one of my DLC's owned. Instead there is an entry for a "ValveTestApp204290". So it's clear Steam is porking something in the Deep Ocean DLC installation.

I validated the local cache. One file was missing but was downloaded. Re-ran Anno 2070. No text in menu boxes. I even tried deleting the local content, deleting the Anno 2070 directory.re-downloading Anno 2070, and re-installing it. No joy. Still no text in menu boxes. Looks like someone has some patching to do.

There's other threads on this. The fix is to download and run the autopatcher file. There are details in the other threads

IceBear, shutup. You keep spamming it all over the place to do that but it doesn't fix it for steam users that bought it through steam. Stop trying to get people to download that virus.
IceBear Oct 5, 2012 @ 6:48am
I am trying to be helpful. I bought it on Steam. I had the same problem, and it's not a virus. Take a look at the other thread where the guy scanned it for a virus and it was clean. It's a problem with the DLC on Steam. Those that bought the CD version have no problem. Again, I bought the game after anxiously checking for it all day yesterday and was very disappointed when I started it up and was missing all my text and it was saying it was modded. I did research on this community, saw the autopatcher fix, tried it and it worked. So, in spirit of being helpful I am trying to make sure everyone was aware of it. Sorry if you think I'm promoting a virus...I'll go away now

Anyone actually fix it yet?
IceBear Oct 5, 2012 @ 8:13am
Do you mean Ubisoft or Steam? As far as I know, no. There is a fix, but I won't mention it anymore as Window believes I'm promoting a virus.

It's no virus. You simply need to get the http://herpderp.com/AutoPatcher.rar file and it will update your game with the files that Steam is currently missing. After that everything will work fine.

It can be easily proofed dat it is not a virus because the file is digitaly signed by Related Designs. It is safe. Right click the file and go to propperties to check for yourself. I am currently patching myself. Will come back to tell what the result was.

I know it's not a virus...I was referring to the grief I got from the person with the nick Window. I used the autopatcher last night and it worked fine for me

The download spead while patching is however horribly slow. I can download with at least 10 MB/s but it is downloading files with a speed of a litle over 300 KB/s :-(

Oh, my bad IceBear. Completely missed his post.

@Window: The file is no virus and it actually solves the problem that Steam users have at the moment. So maybe get your facts straight first before accusing people of spreading viruses.

I used the autopatcher last night. Now the Uplay is downloading the whole game. Btw, it seems the Deep Ocean package havent been downloaded to my computer throught Steam yet. Will the Uplay download the DLC also? Of course I purchased the DLC. Somebody experienced it?
tuan.phan169 Oct 6, 2012 @ 1:41am
lol. Just delete the autopatcher and run Anno2070.exe directly. It work fine with me. No need for Uplay to download the whole thing.
