Anno 2070

'Ubisoft gamelauncher has not been found. Please reinstall game.'
And indeed, when looking in the folder its not there.
Had steam check the files, which claimed 4 files were missing. Steam runs 'ubisoft launcher install', didnt work, same problem.
Looking in the game folder, found 'ubisoftgamelauncherinstall.exe'. yay problem solved? Nope, it doesnt install anything.

Is this a common problem? Am I overlooking something? Or do I have to crack a game I just bought?

I'm not having too much luck either atm. I'm trying a reinstall to see if that helps. I'll be really sad if I can't get it to run. I've been wanting to play this forever!

Had the same problem. Just unistall Uplay and then reinstall it. Worked for me. Now just have to solve my other errors.

Hm, this might be something thats come up recentely with the steam sale.

Things I tried, in vain: steam support page: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2653-WTAZ-7761
It mentions the launcher and the install files I found, along with a way to set registery permissions for windows 7. Didnt help me but maybe for one of you it does.

Also tried forcing steam to replace the launcher install file, no result though.

Hey! I possessed the same problem and just managed to fix it. This is how I did it:
You have to delete the old Ubisoft game launcher, I just did step one for WIN7 64 bit.

"Vista + Win 7 (32-Bit):

1) C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\

Delete folder " Ubisoft Game Launcher" manually.

2) C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\

Delete folder {888F1505-C2B3-4FDE-835D-36353EBD4754} manually.

You may have to make all folders visible to access the folders.

Windows 7 (64-Bit):

1) C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\

Delete folder " Ubisoft Game Launcher" manually.

2) C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield Installation Information\

Delete folder {888F1505-C2B3-4FDE-835D-36353EBD4754} manually."

Then, I verified the integrity of the game's cache. Launched it...and it works.

Aha, seems this works. Thanks!
Now to see if I can get past all the other artificial hurdles our kind overlords have set up for us.

Google 'uplay', its ubisofts DRM software thing. It seems that if anno doesnt find it, or if you got a broken install, it doesnt actualy tell you. Make sure to look for any old version of uplay and remove it before installing.

I search for uplay in my pc but wasn't installed... I tried to download it but static3.cdn.ubi.com/orbit/launcher_installer/UplayInstaller.exe show error...
