I did joke about making a TL;DR video for it where I just show screenshots and shout "SETTLE HERE! BUILD THIS! DON'T DO THIS!" and so on xD
Would like more people's opinions .-.
I might have missed it, but do you explain to your readers how to deny ascension rights to citizens? You say at some point "Do not upgrade yet", but I was thinking that it is a fairly easy map, so people needing a walkthrough for it, may not have figured out that they can have citizens on manual upgrade.
No I didn't, I totally missed that. It's something I've known how to do since I started 1404, so to me, it's "Common Knowledge". Thanks for pointing that out. I'll get onto that and add it to the "EXTRAS" in an update either tomorrow or the day after.
Also, it can be a bit of a tricky mission if you aren't skilled in financial and trade management, so yeah...
Are there any other missions you think I should make a guide on? :3
Agreed. I have heard it can be a VERY lengthy mission, though, so that could take a few attempts to make a fool-proof guide (or relatively foolproof anyway), and I don't have the time right now. That's also one I'd attempt to make a guide for both factions.
Still, it's definitely up my list of things to do for this game, and I'll be sure to make a guide when I do play it.
.. Also, for the record, I plan to play it without exploiting bugs. They'll be mentioned in the guide, but when I make the guide, I'll avoid using them myself, so I can deal with all of the factors that non-exploiters would have to, to make a better guide.
EDIT:
Regarding this (again)... I might actually just create a "Common Tricks" guide, with things like how to ge the fast forward shortcut button, denying ascention rights, hotkey "saving" squads for quick selection, and so on. That way, I can link it from all of my future guides, instead of stating how to do it all over and over in every one I make.
Good idea
I know I'm missing other things, so suggestions would help.
Using drills etc to increase resources on an island.
Influence areas of production buidlings so they pick up raw materials themselves and don't need to pick them up from warehouses.
Politics button on the ARK.
I am sure there is more that could be mentioned...
EDIT: I am also working on the "Common Tricks" guide, under the name of "Tips, Tricks, Exploits and Information". Right now, I'm just adding all the stuff to it in categories, with no details, then I'll be adding screenshots and other information for each thing as I develop it. It's not high on my list right now, due to the Global Event, but it's under work now.
EDIT2: Changed the name of the "Common Tricks" guide to what it now says. I will be going in depth on various "general information" subjects, such as Global Events, the way Politics works, the dynamics of each AI character, and so on. On release, many things will not be 100% complete, like the Global Event information or the AI dynamics, but the main meat of it (the tips, tricks and exploits) will be, and the rest will be well fleshed out. This is turning out to be a really expansive project, haha.... If anyone is willing to volunteer information or suggestions for what to add, I'm open to it.
