Picture says it all, really. Because of the way the AI is programed, they will not settle islands you have already taken. Using this knowledge, in combination with 80000 starting credits and an ark load of modules and tools, I used 37000 to make Thor no longer able to expand for two hours (and increase my influence so he doesn't start a war), then went and took every island there was. This means that he can no longer expand to any other islands on the map, leaving me to have free reign over the game.

If you are playing with Hector and/or Keto, you will have to place a depot further into the island and demolish your warehouse, otherwise they will eventually come along and blow the warehouse up, freeing the island once more.

After this... You only really need to worry about building up your population, and keeping enough cash to lobby with Thor to stop him declaring war, until you can force peace indefinitely, so it's easy going from then on.


EDIT: This is VERY important to do later on, as well, when you try to deal with them. If you do not take every island, Thor will almost continually settle islands while you are at war with him, effectively making it impossible to wipe him out. He has infinite resources and credits, so the ONLY way to beat him is to demolish every last warehouse and depot. Practically, anyway. It is possible to wipe him out without occupying everywhere, but it's a real pain to do.

This is already quite known (i used it in the 3rd mission of the eden global event, where you have to get 5000 executives), and you wont always get 80.000 start credits

It's also possible to do it with no credits, but then you're on thin ice. 50k is also very possible to use on this situation. And yes, it is well known, but I thought I'd share anyway, as many DON'T know it.

p.s. I forgot to keep Thor happy and the moment he hit 0 influence, he declared war.... Then I did a civil defence and I only had one ship to begin with, so now that's blown up, I'm technically invincible once again xD

By the time that runs out, I can do a full blown Cease Fire, as I'll have enough influence with him (0.5 per minute, need 30 for cease fire, civil defence is gonna last an hour)

I haven't seen that ultimatum before, in game or otherwise. And, yeah. The AI is ridiculous. Too bad for them they're forced to follow diplomatic laws so rigidly. Six hours where he's not allowed to declare war on me? The game's practically won xP

Not only that. They can build super weapons near the beginning of the map.

On topic, this is my favorite method of containing Thor and owning him with nukes whenever he declares an ultimatum.

Yeah. Right now, he's sitting with six nuclear silos, but we're all buddy-buddy right now. Little does he know his paranoia is right and I'm planning to..... Actually, I haven't decided HOW I'm gonna eradicate him, yet. Maybe a combination of Erabos bombing with long range missiles? Ehhhh... too expensive.

My favorite - is to have 12+ helicopters.. I dont care about fuel - they can shoot forever when they already near target.
Looks like AI never use nuclear weapon.

That requires building up to the point where I CAN do that. Besides, I like winning wars without losses, and his island is swamped in Flak xP
