Asking for my Activation Key

Had this game for a while, and played it a while back, and wanted to play it again today. Now, when launching, it's asking for my Activation Key. When I enter the Steam CD-Key that came with the game, it's saying it's already being used by another user. WTF?!?

edit - It seems to be opening through UPlay. Don't know if that matters or not...

I've just re-installed and tried activating the cd-key on UPlay. Still saying "this code is being used by another user."

Either someone stole your key, which is highly unlikely or you have another Uplay account somewhere with Anno activated on it.

I don't believe I have another uplay account. Uplay even shows that Annon 2070 is in my games library. When I try to activate my key from UPlay itself, it says something like- "You already own this game." Wtf. Any other ideas?

Hello same problem (french here so language approximativ ;-): my uplay and steam accounts are differents ; the cd key is no more recognized even if i try to activate it direct in steam without passing by uplay

Hey, I don't know if you did this already but I had the same issue with Dawn of Discovery/ Anno 1404, I contacted Uplay's support by putting in a ticket this past Friday. The correspondence went through my email, and the person asked me for the username that I believed that I had listed for my Anno 1404 and 2070 account and they were able to tell me if the key was registered under that username or not. Ultimately, after responding to suggestions throughout the weekend they helped me to reset the account, which was the last solution because in Anno 1404 it cost you your previous achievements. I don't know if this is something they do for Anno 2070 as it is a bit different and I haven't had that issue as of yet (hope I don't) but it's worth a shot. I just wanted to share.

Merci simmile :-) i think it's the same problem ...Put a ticket to Uplay means that one more time Ubisoft made a mistake in its processes....I count no more problems with that firm (recently on playstation 4 ) .They want make many things in a short time like it's seem to be the new world's way of life....The result is bad quality and stress's growing up....It's time to put the brake on no ?

some of you use civilization 5 ? i am waiting for a good experience in multiplayer playing mode for this game....and taking necessary time for it

i have bought it directly and i installed it uplay forced me to enter the serial code... ok i done it and the game installed... and if i start the game anno want a serial code again... so i enter the same one and cannot play the game... but in my uplay bibiothek is the game as owned displayed... writing to the support do nothing don´t try it... i try it for more tha 2 weeks and never get a answer from the ubisoft support via uplay... so here u go you buy a nice game that you cannot play because uplay sucks as hell and ubisoft know that...

I actually figured it out. I guess i did have another account. I was trying to log into the wrong account. For those who are having the same issue. I don't pirate, but thanks.
