Campaign broken?

Hey,
I've been trying multiple times to beat the campaign of the game to unlock the F.A.T.H.E.R. 1.0 Ark. I played through the first mission just fine, but when I start up the second mission (after the dam broke and everyone is freaking out) it will just play a cutscene and then just show me the fog of war. When I scroll up there is a harbor and a ship but I don't have control of either... Am I missing anything? I've had several reinstalls of this game since, and recently I upgraded my whole PC and had a fresh reinstall of windows and everything, but the second mission still refuses to work.

If anyone has a fix for this I'm quite desperate to fix this. I have the other Arks unlocked already and im kind of a bit of a compleationist so I'm dying to complete the campaign for this last one.

(On that note; Before you suggest me googling it, I wouldn't be here if I hadn't done so already, on all the occasions I've tried to play the campaign. Nothing so far has worked and at this point im close to giving up again...)

Just tried it out to see if it would glitch out on me but it worked fine. One thing though... which island are you looking at? Site 13 is Strindberg's island, but if you're looking at Neon and you don't have control of that island or the ship parked there then you're definitely bugged.

Its a occupied by yellow, and the ship is called John Doe which isnt any npc I know in the game :/

I guess this is supposed to be where my Ark shows up? Cause thats where the 'Mission Start' banner shows up... buit nothing happens.

And the NPC city doesnt have a name, and the Ark doesnt show on the map but it just s ays "John Doe"

Yeah, that's not right at all... your minimap should look like this:

The amount of money you have available doesn't look right either. I'm 99% sure that it just carries over the amount you have at the end of mission 1, so having a nice round 50k is rather improbable and suggests it might be some kind of corruption in the save file. Try repeating the first mission to see if it clears the glitch - if it doesn't then all I can suggest is that you try the official Anno 2070 forums:

It's kind of an old game so the forums are a bit quiet, but you might get lucky and find some help.

The forums unfortunately havent helped me in the past. Nor has any ubisoft forum for that matter, its a shame really. Between Origin and Uplay and heavens knows what other forms of Steam wanna be's its really difficult to find help for games that are released for them. Especially obscure games like this that only a select few really enjoy :( and even fewer go browse forums for.

I'll try restarting the campaign, hopefully that will work! Thank you, I'll get back to you if it works or not.

Wonderful. Surprisingly simple solution, I restarted the mission which only took me about 5 minutes to do the first one, and the second worked flawlessly. Thanks again for the help!
