ugh this is pathetic. The campaign doesn't actually tell you anything other than what is expected at the end result. "Build this" sure, where, any tips? what about housing and roads? "lolnope figure it out yourself" what about energy? "lolnope figure it out yourself, lets put in some annoying quests while you go about figuring ♥♥♥♥ out!"

Oh come on! That is so simple.

You have browl bawl, that one is really a complex game with an ugly tutorial that serves of nothing, Anno 2070 is a piece of cake and very intuitive in figure things around compared with that one.

I hate tutorials where they waste time in stupid obvious things like “move the camera” “rotate mouse middle to zoom” instead of going to the deep important stuff about the game mechanics.

I can relate to your frustration. I tried the demo a few years ago and was like "okay, what in the world am I supposed to do?!" I uninstalled it. Some time later, I bought the game and I've now played it for over 1,200 hours in the past 1.5 years. It's a great game! Just be patient with it in the beginning and once you learn a few things, the rest will come naturally. There's also a really good Wiki for the game at http://anno2070.wikia.com/. If you need any help, I'd be happy to play with you a bit. One of my favorite games ever made.

Check out the Beginners Guide by Nana Suit Ninja on youtube. His videos really helped me out, and he's hilarious to listen to.

It took me about couple or few hours to understand the game. It's confusing at first, but it's not rocket science. Once I I had an idea what I needed to do, I watched few videos from NsN. Was able to pick some handy tips plus saw how he build certain buildings (layout).

Just sink in few hours of ''continues'' mode and disable bots that can steal you're potential islands and other hostile factions and you can take you're time to understand the game.

All you need to know about this game is Housing and Production layouts. There are special Guides presented here on Steam in Community Hub>Guides section, just follow it and you'll build best possible city with best profits and space management. Nothing really hard about this game, it's rather relaxing and very enjoyable.

Just play campaign, and if you make big mistakes just restart that mission. great game btw remember its just a game have fun and testing different layouts is part of it. What you learn in start still applies to the later game it just got bigger and more needs.

Thanks for all of the suggestions and help! I'm definitely going to give this another try. I pretty much gave up and started playing Banished but I am going to give it another whirl.
