Missing Hovercraft[SOLVED]

This game is not being very helpful, so I'm hoping someone on here will be.

I'm on mission 4: and the professor wants a hovercraft. I don't have one and there don't seem to be any lying around anywhere or available for purchase.

Eve is being her usual annoying self constantly asking if she can help, but not having any sort of search function she is about as much use as a toaster. This game seriously needs some sort of Annopedia or something for reference use.

Any the question is where/how do I get my hands on a hovercraft?

[SOLUTION] No idea.

The game seemed to suddenly decide that I'd completed the quest. At the time I was struggling to work out another mystery concerning lack of storage space and was trying to get someone to sell something to make some space, and suddenly the Professor interupted to thank me for helping him and confirmed that the quest was complete.

The only thing I can think of is that somehow a hovercraft turned up at his Ark as a result of me attempting to offload some goods and he nicked it.

PS: Just to add to the mystery, some time later in the mission (I was collecting data for the ECO's on fish), and this damaged hovercraft just appeared out of nowhere parked near the ECO's ARC. Not sure if it was the one I was looking for, but it wasn't there earlier because I actually went to the ECO ARC to see if I could buy one.

FYI just had the same issue and ended up here: for anyone else that is stuck with this, he needs your two ships. If you zoom way in to look at the second ship you got (I think from the Eco lady?) it's a hovercraft itself, just take it over to the prof's ark.
