Chapter 1, Mission 2 bugged?

I've got this weird bug, where I just can't start the mission, after loading it up and watching cutscene for Shadows of the Past, mission 2 - it just leaves me in the ocean, with nothing to go on. Some pics - http://imgur.com/a/8nnnh

I've verified cache, reinstalled on differant drives, tried the same on a previous Windows install.. I have youtubed the mission and it does not start as it should for me. I've deleted my profile, reinstalled, and played from mission 1 - same result.

Any help would be appeciated. I've enjoyed the game here and there but haven't been able to play the campaign all this time >< I presume at this point it has to be something simple that I've missed, surely.

Weird bug! I'm fine sharing my save files of this mission if you want to give that a try:

They belong under documents -> anno 2070 -> accounts -> user name -> savegames, for the Campaign 1-2.sww file and the Chapter01_2.mission file under user name -> missions

Looking around this is apparently an old bug. One support reply is here[forums.ubi.com], at the bottom, but not very useful solution. Another solution is apparently to replay the campaign missions in offline mode. Best of luck!

Thanks for taking the time to do that, it did the trick. I'm still getting some dialogues with no .. dialogue but ive progressed past the mission now :) It has disabled game achievements but thats ok. I cleared saves again and started Mission 3 though it still retains 'contineing another players sessions' save somehow. Anyways all good :D

Can see this is an old thread but, I started the game again and experienced the same. After som try and error found that it was the antivirus program that blocked Ubisoft Connect (as I understand the game allways online). So Try go into your antivirus/Firewall setting and allow the program for both Anno2070.exe and ubisoftconnect.exe hopes that help you.

I am currently having this problem and I have allowed all Ubisoft and anno2070 applications through the firewall. Still no dice. Any thoughts? Or can someone send a fresh savegame that is properly loaded? (Ideally just after the cutscene) Thanks!

Somehow something I did fixed it. I went ahead and cut off the internet entirely and then played the game in offline mode. That seems to have done the trick. It now works even when connected. I hope this info can help someone like me!
