Anno 2070

Anno 2070

Easy way to find/check side quests?
Hello @all.

Started playing this game two days ago (yes, shame on me).

Of course, I launched the campaign, following the instructions given to complete the chapters, but you have some side quests you can find (e.g. there are dolphins to save, a Tycoon ship asking for a motor,... or even with other NPC depots) and if you don't pay attention you can miss them (and it's missable even more when you have to check the all map above and under sea level...).

Is there a way to make sure you don't miss any, or a way after the "You won" screen to see which quests you may have missed (I think it was like that with Anno 1404)?

Many thanks :)

There should be a scrollable list on the left hand side of the screen.

Maybe you turned that option off, or you filtered them out by mistake?

Here's a walkthrough with details of each part:

Not quite I had in mind but that will do the trick once I completed a mission to be sure I did not miss anything. Thanks for your answer.

e.g. in Chapter 1 - Mission 4, you hand over your Command Ship and Hovercraft to Dr. Devi and he gives you a Trimaran, asking you to scout 3 locations for the Virago. While you do that, there are two side quest available (one from Yana, one from Throne) asking you to scout/scan some underwater elements too. But if you don't check their Ark or Command Ship, you can miss it, there is no actual marker on the map, no notification, no left side of the screen icon,... to show you there are side quest available. But since you have no "reward" for completing the side quests...

Thanks again.

@CONAN_Fabrice

Yeah, I understand what you mean. The scrollable list is only a reminder if you'd already discovered them in the first place.

Anyway, it's unlikely you'd forget about them altogether. Of course you sometimes forget to do them in time. when you're busy with something else. ;)

I can't think of any easy way to find out side quests you may have missed.

You could check out the YT video walkthrough by Leafonthewin to see if he found anything that you didn't? But that's not necessarily a 'definitive' or exhaustive list.

Why do you need to do this anyway, if you don't mind me asking. Is it some sort of OCD thing, or for achievements or....?

No worries, the link you provide is good enough. All I have been able to see is that those side quest give you nothing really.

On Anno 1404 like I said before, and if I am not mistaken, those side quests gave you more rating, but you were aware once you went to the result screen if you missed any.

It is just bothering me a bit, not really an OCD, as since they don't give you anything, I won't replay a level just to complete the side quests (secrets in Tomb Raider games bothered me way more, and since I did not used the Internet at that time - even now I have a hard time using the Internet for this...).

And as always, once again, thanks.

You're welcome.

Yeah, you do get points for completing the campaign which you can use to unlock career progression. But as far as I know, you don't get anything else except 'progress' towards achievements which are many and varied.

In addition, on the Uplay app, you also get 'Club Awards'; 10 Uplay points for settling an island, 20 for an underwater island, 30 for building a monument and...40 Uplay points for completing the campaign.

You can then subsequently use the Uplay points to buy e.g. :

20 points for an extra transporter is of course very useful for all your continuous games at least. Not sure if it applies to scenarios too.

For 2070, 'achievements' and colour/profile picture unlocks, there are LOTs of things to do / collect / research.

An example of some of the more obscure ones, are collecting weird 'flotsam' from ships you sink in combat. So, having a pirate faction active in your continuous games is useful for that if you want to go for them.

All the achievement details can be seen anyway if you click on them.

Hope you have a lot of fun with the game.

Weirdly enough, the Ubisoft Club doesn't recognize that I own Anno 2070 (nor any of my Ubisoft games (even those bought directly on Uplay), except for The Crew), so it doesn't keep track of what challenges I unlocked...

The 20 Units Extra Transporter is a flying transporter right? I do not know if they are on the base game, but I saw one on my warehouse (I have it unlocked).

I'm passing on the E.V.E. portrait for now, trying to get the "Build a monument" or "Complete the campaign" Units to unlock the bonus mission.

By the way, I saw that while browsing the Ubisoft Club, but it appears that from April 1st, Units will expire after 2 years. You can see on this page how many of those Units will expire on March 31st (appeared I had 20, so like I said, will go for the Bonus Mission once I'll unlock one other challenges):

Re: The extra transporter.

I initially replied, under a lot of assumptions which turned out to be completely wrong after some testing. ;)

Apparently, the extra transporter is when you connect a depot via road (no matter how convoluted) to your warehouse. I'd assumed though, that was part of the game all along.

I claimed that award really early on, so I've just taken it for granted for a long time as I always try and connect depots to the warehouse if possible.

But, that is the Uplay award working? Didn't Anno 1404 also do that?

So, a level 1 depot has one transporter by default, but if you connect it via road to the warehouse you get two transporters.

I think you only get an air transporter at a depot, at level 3. But you get one at the warehouse for free even at level one (lobsters for example need that).

You can also research +1 Ark upgrades for extra transport units at the Academy, but Deep Ocean doesn't allow you to research the +2 Ark upgrade for some strange reason.

Thanks for the info on the Club Points situation. I never got an e-mail about that, so... thanks very much Ubisoft! Money grabbing leeches. :)

ANNO 2070 PC

There are no stats for this game.
It doesn't really matter. We all know how good you are!

No rewards left to get!
Congrats! What a great player you are!

You've got all the rewards for this game!

Yeah, Ubisoft, really consistent. I got all the awards for a game I don't even have. :P
