I can log in now but my game has no text on any of the buttons, launching the autopatcher.exe just starts the game.

I'm guessing this update is meant to bring version parity with UPlay edition. Previously Steam Anno was version 2.00.7780, now it's 2.00.7792 like UPlay Anno.

Idk about you guys but I have a significant performances upgrade with this update. I usually was at 75 fps in cities in late game, now im at 100. At first I wasn't very sure, thinking it was maybe because I just started out my PC and that it's cold, which might be a reason why a have higher fps, but there was something I could do to be sure :
When I clicked the academy, I always had my framerate falling hard to 30 fps as long as I remained on th academy, with the dark zone around. And I don't have this bug anymore.
Also, switching quickly from dense islands to an other usually got me some fps drop too, which isn't the case anymore

Im quite happy to have more fps and I wish to all it's your case too. So idk what the update is but it's cool

This is correct. With this week's update we removed the SolidShield DRM from both the Steam as well as the Uplay version of Anno 2070.

No, the update was only for removing the SolidShield requirement.

The Uplay version received some additional fixes for the Russian and Czech translations, but this won't affect you here since these issues were not present in the Steam version :)
