game activation code worked, but...

Ubisoft tells me this game has been activated with my CD key, and I do see it in my U-play library. However, they also tell me that if I purchased this game on STEAM I have to launch it on STEAM.

When I launch the game a little Ubisoft box pops up asking me for the SERIAL# that came with the game. My copy & pasted CD Key only brings up an error message. Obviously, there is something besides the activation code CD KEY that I need to play this game. Where can I find the SERIAL#?

Same problem, just purchased the game and the key that was sent with the game does not work. Get the message "Invalid Key". Game bought at Steam Store and I can see it in my Library, after copying the CD Key and pasting it in the ANNO 2070 it just stops. Unable to play the game, if it doesnt get solved I will remove the game and ask for a refund....

Also when I have steam check integrity of files, it comes back saying a file is missing and will be reacquired (or something like that, I have taken it off my computer since) but it never did install anything!

It could bey a key file, if you start up there is an option Activate WWW it also says "Load Key File" it might be that this file is missing.

Had to validate 4 files, after that I booted up and it didn't work now I validated and it says 1 file missing, still can't boot it. Same as you ricja.

Update for everyone! I spent about 8 hours off and on with Ubisoft doing everything from changing keys to registry editing. They have figured out its an "internal issue" and that is all the detail they'd give. They are working the issue we just have to be patient and check back periodically.
