Does 2070 have a free camera like 1800?

So I thought I'd give 2070 some more lovin'. Does it have an option somewhere to have a more free camera option? In 1800 I can hold my middle mouse button and tilt the camera angle, it's an option that can be turned on or off.

Does 2070 have that and if so, where is the option located and named?

Not sure but I did find by accident a postcard view if you press F1 which is pretty cool. It gives you a closer to ground view and you can use it to follow one of your selected vehicles.

Well I have looked up, down and sideways in the options panel and am not seeing anything to use a less restrictive camera.

Shame as after using that in 1800 it's difficult to play without it.

If you use the ARRC Mod, or figure out how to modify the camera yourself, you can have a free camera for 2070. It gives the ability to zoom out much farther than normal, as well as rotate the camera at any angle. I believe "End" is the default key for it. However, the 2070 engine is not optimized for free camera movement or large draw distances, so performance will probably drop.

Need Deep Ocean DLC, then you have to edit the "engine.ini" file located @

C:\Users\*Name*\AppData\Roaming\Ubisoft\ANNO 2070\Config

Find "Free zoom" then change values as follows;

<LockCamera>0</LockCamera>
<EnableZoom>1</EnableZoom>
<CheckCameraDistance>0</CheckCameraDistance>

As Tev163 mentioned, now use END in game to switch to the 'new' camera.

"end" doesnt work at all. This used to work in 1404.

Remove camera zoom limitation[7]

Download RDA Explorer. http://www.anno2170-arrc.de/index.php?page=maps
Open <path-to-game>\maindata\patch7.rda with RDA Explorer.
Open <path-to-game>\data\config\game\bindings.ini in patch7.
Add this line, under #camera commands : bind("END","/togglesimplecammode()")
Save the modifications, unckecking [compress RDA file]
Go to the configuration file(s) location and open engine.ini.
Find the following lines and modify them like this:

<LockCamera>0</LockCamera>
<EnableZoom>1</EnableZoom>
<CheckCameraDistance>0</CheckCameraDistance>

Finally, while in game use the "End" key to toggle the unlocked camera.
