lauch Uplay in Offline mode.
delete the saves.
start the game and with new campaign or whatever, save.
Quit the game.
go Online Again and Uplay say somthing like 2 different save conflict. choose overwrite from local/offine save. Now the cloud save is overwriten with your new game. (at least should be)
or
select a new game from menu
1. I have no local save files, it's a fresh install and yet my game status got carried over.
2. From which menu? This is exactly what I am looking for, a "new game" option.
Huperspace's advice should work, if you don't have already have a local save you can skip this step and create a new save file to overwrite the cloud save. To clarify please do the following:
1. Launch Uplay
2. Disable cloud saves from Uplay settings.
3. Launch the game and start a new game to create a new save file
4. Close the game
5. Restart Uplay and enable cloud saves again.
6. It should then prompt you when you launch the game to choose between the local and cloud save, choose local and your new save file should then overwrite the save stored in the cloud.
Hope this helps!

I tried what you suggested, disabled the Uplay cloud, put Uplay to offline, but when I started the game, it went directly into the command center, showing me my old stats without giving me a "start a new game" option.
Which files should I delete locally? I found none in \Documents nor in the Steam subfolders.
in the commando centre click on mission map
The game looks like merged now - I can only load my new save, but my old reputation and statistics are still there.
- Ubisoft Support
Yes, it seems like the stats were bound to my account and during the installation somehow got transferred to the new machine. I am just wondering why there is no simple in-game function to reset them.
But thank you for trying to help me anyhow! Very good support, will be remembered... :)
Thanks to Huperspace again, too!
Thanks for reaching out about Anno! As you noticed in the conversation, you can start a new game by disabling Cloud services. However, you won't be able to reset your stats, as they're permanently attached to your profile, I'm afraid. Hope it helps!
- Ubisoft Support
Yeah, I got it now. It would be nice to be able to reset the stats, but if that isn't possible, I can live with it (it might be something to consider for future releases though).
Thanks again for the support! I will point it out next time when somebody says something bad or unjust about your company. Really, this is special. I haven't seen anything similar from any other major developer/publisher.
We always forward any feedback we receive via any of our support channels, so we'll happily forward that for you! Even today most of our games keep all stats server-side and they can't be reset, but we can appreciate the want to be able to reset them.
You're very kind. Everyone is always welcome to contact us if they need anything, and we'll always do the best we can!

I hate this damn game now, I have played a little Anno 2070 years ago but only a little, since I bought it I thought it's about time I finally play it, I'm trying since yesterday but I can not get rid of this damn old profile, I want a new game so also start a new profile but that gets Anno 2070 apparently not. I'm really pissed at this "great" game.
Would be great if you can help me.
Regards!
Ubi-Orion's method should still work for deleting the actual saves - you can find their post, above. It's not Uplay anymore, but rather Ubisoft Connect, and you'll find our support article showing how to disable cloud sync here[www.ubisoft.com]. We unfortunately don't have any means to entirely reset a profile, however - my apologies for the inconvenience with this.
Let me know if you have any trouble with the above-linked steps, and I'll be happy to help further
- Ubisoft Support
Just to clarify, what aspects of the profile are not reset? Have you been able to reset the save game, and it's the statistics on the profile that persist?
