Can't start map editor

I can't start map editor. I tried running the editor file in the game folder - ...\steamapps\common\Might and Magic Heroes VI\editor - but it always starts the main game. does anyone know how to fix this?

Apologies for the late reply and sorry to hear it.

Have you managed to resolve it by now?
If not, did you try to install the game and launch the editor via Ubisoft Connect instead of Steam?

I tried installing through Ubisoft Connect, but instead of installing directly, it redirected me to the Steam system for installation.

Thank you for your update.
I have just tested the editor on Ubisoft Connect version and it launches just fine.
I'll test it on Steam as well, and let you know the result.
