Game will not launch; stuck on Ubisoft Connect

When I run the game from a desktop shortcut it launches, prompts me to the "do you want to let this program make changes to your device" window. After agreeing it goes to a blank Ubisoft Connect window with a loading pinwheel in the bottom right corner, and it just loads forever. I would really appreciate any help, if anyone has had this issue and solved it.

Sorry to hear that you are unable to start your game.

To try and resolve the issue, please try the following steps:

- Fully update the game if you have not done it yet,
- Navigate to the game's installation folder and locate Might & Magic Heroes VI.exe file,

Steam install location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Might and Magic Heroes VI

- Right-click on the exe file, chose Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, and tick the following parameters:
Run in Compatibility mode (with Windows 7)
Disable fullscreen optimizations
Run as admin

- Click on OK and launch the game from the Might & Magic Heroes VI.exe file.

Think that ubisoft connect failing is a windows 10 comparability issue with the game, when ubisoft connect is a separate program? Please pull the other one. All you've done is post an old unrelated generic just try everything response. Serious fail dude.
