Cannot register for Uplay/game does not start

I purchased HoMM VI on Steam and when trying to start the game I am required to create a Uplay account (ubisoft account credentials do not work on it), however once I fill in the information and the register button becomes clickable nothing happens when I do click it. As a result the game never starts, any tips?

I've taken note of your reports, and I'm sorry to hear that an Issue at launch prevents you from enjoying Might & Magic: Heroes VI !

In order to isolate the problem, i invite you to let us know if it persists after backing up your important files and installing {LINK REMOVED} with the help of our dedicated guide.

Once that is done, I also invite you to start Steam and Ubisoft Connect as admin, before launching the game.
