Can't launch Might & Magic Heroes VI on Windows 10

I've tried most of the fixed I've seen on here, nothing seems to work. I've added exceptions in my antivirus, reinstalled, reinstalled uplay, verified the game files, and I still can't get it to launch.

I click play on steam, it asks if I want to run as administrator, I click yes then I get this error message:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005)
Click OK to close the application.

Any ideas anyone?

does uplay get to start? if not try running uplay from its folder see what happens

Nope, I’ve tried running it through Uplay and just by clicking on the game exe and it’s always the same error

I have done that also, still nothing.

Yes, Uplay works fine, but HOMMVI won't start either from uplay or steam or the actual exe

Hi everyone. I want to play HoMM 6 so i reinstalled it from steam. For 2 days each time i launch the game i've a black screen with loading icon and nothing else. So i reboot my computer (brutally, because both Alt+F4 or Ctrl+Alt+Del work) and when i come back on steam the game is uninstalled. It is clearly weird and i'd like to know why can't i play a game i've bought like 6 years ago at least !
If anyone have a solution !

Try this:
Uninstall ubisoft launcher. After this - delete its folder.
Then get last launcher at https://uplay.ubi.com
After install set "Runs as administrator" in these files:
(C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\):
Uplay.exe
UbisoftGameLauncher.exe
UbisoftGameLauncher64.exe
Also set "Runs as administrator" and "compatibility mode" to Windows 7 in these files:
(Steam\steamapps\common\Might and Magic Heroes VI\):
Game.exe
Might & Magic Heroes VI.exe

I recently reinstalled HoMM 6 and was having the same problem. This fix worked for me: browse to the program folder, right-click "Might & Magic Heroes VI.exe" and select Properties. Click the Compatibility tab and check "Disable fullscreen optimizations." Click OK.

Haven't needed to run either the game or UPlay as administrator. Good luck!

I had issue's with 6 as well it all starts after windows 10 version 1709, any updates after this version cause 6 to fail.
