Shades of Darkness: Sound Issue: No Voices?
Started playing Shades of Darkness. Can't help but notice I am only getting ambient noise, no music, no voice. Anyone else have this problem?

I've done the obvious first steps of check audio settings, restart, etc. No go yet.

no sound here either.. well that is music and voices aren't there at all.. :/

Nah the manual download of the patch is not for the steam version (they said there is no problem with the steam version haha what a joke). I do not know what will happen if you try it..

It's not just shades of darkness of course if you didn't know. I don't own shades of darkness and I have no speech or music. I just own heroes vi and the first 2 dlc.

you have to unlock the music and voice through ingame purchase...

I have the same problem, but flagged as 2.1.0. All your game are patched. No voice and no music. I wait that Ubi will fix this bug, and we have not to wait six months.

Voice overs aren't missing...they didn't pay to put them in. They want you to read everything.

you are flagged 2.1? weird, i wonder if there is someone else with the 2.1 version. On the facebook of the game a guy said having the 2.1 version and no voice or music problems. Then he get back to his game (with a big smile i guess).

And, while they don't fixed this bug, I'm not going to buy any Ubi game, nor the expansions. I am sorry for my poor english.

Yeah someone on my friend list is on 2.1- while I am like you & many many others still on 1.8.0 with no sounds.
Speaking about a mediocre release... yet again Ubisoft want to compete with Maxis's Sim City.
