Please, if I want to run Heroes 6 Complete edition, when loading (the small window with the angel) appears "Runtime error" "This application has Requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way." Please help, I'm desperate. I have tried to uninstall and install, doesnt help. Thank you for your help.

Ok, I found a sub-optimal fix. Madcat555 posted it on the Ubisoft forums.

"Just add <SkipOpening>true</SkipOpening> to ProfileData file found at the folder named as your game in your Documents folder (subfolder with the file should match your login name)."

So it was under:Documents Might & Magic Heroes VI (your login name) ProfileData

I used note pad to paste the code and I can get into the game again.

Just had the same problem after weeks of playing and without any installation since yesterday.

What hasn't worked: Cleaning up the drive, trying some of the .exe-files in the program folder, shutting down Kaspersky.

What worked: Removing the folder $user/my documents/might&magic heroes6. Savegames were fine, only some game settings were lost.

I have been struggling with this error for a week now, and Support was totally unhelpful. After uninstalling, reinstalling, running anti-malware, running CCleaner, and repeating this entire mess over and over, deleting that folder worked perfectly. Thanks so much.

Tried this and was able to play. Had to reset some options. Thank you for posting this work around.
