Trainer problem

Hi!

I recently picked up homm6 again, but lost a ton of saves, so I'd have to play through some of the campaigns yet again.

To save some time and just enjoy the story itself, not the 20349204 needless battles, I decided to play with cheatcodes this time around.

I downloaded a "Trainer" but it doesn't seem to be working at all.
Could someone with experience tell me what to do step by step? Is there any specific folder that I should move the trainer exe into?

the trainer was probably made to work with an older version of the game.
you could just play the game on easy to make it quick
