Last Uplay update adds an offline command parameter

It's not game problem, it's UPlay client problem. Newest UPlay Client for some reason adds "-offline" parameter to the game and runs it in offline mode:

Offline parameter makes the game not even trying to connect to conflux server, so surely it won't work!

The real question is, what last UPlay patch changed, that new UPlay client think Steam version users are not Online and therefore forces to start their games in Offline mode?
UPlay devs should check newest UPlay client code which is responsible for adding "-offline" parameter when starting "Might & Magic Heroes VI.exe" process. Probably, after latest client changes, some function there returns wrong status, which is causing this issue.""

I think that if this is correct it is unlikely to be a mistake

I cannot see how anyone would insert this into the Uplay client accidentally

Which may mean there is some issue between Ubisoft and Steam?
or some other reason Ubisoft has decided to deny Steam owners access to Conflux

This is re/tarded. The game's not even being updated anymore, I came back after a few months wanting to play the game again, and woo more uplay woes!

Uplay is such a piece of ♥♥♥♥ honestly.

Confirmed, i just made shortcut with :

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Might and Magic Heroes VI\Might & Magic Heroes VI.exe" -uplay_steam_mode

and it work (just make sure you have UPlay online and Steam running in background maybe)

You really ought to address the ongoing and repeated issues with Uplay and Conflux
By continuously frustrating your customers you are harming the Heroes franchise and your business
