The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom (error:-2)

I recently purchased The Settlers 7 and every time i start it up it comes up with
"Video mode could not be initialized: Could not set screen mode (error:-2)" Anyone got
any ideas on how to fix it?

hello I'm sorry but I can not help you because I also buy the game recement and I also have a problem
I have another concern the game does not start at all it puts the update of game launcher and does not launch
One solution would be welcome please!

Try lowering your monitor's screen resolution. Just worked for me :-)

Thank you so much!! I was about to start ripping my hair out... love how such a major issue can be fixed with one simple adjustment XD was finally able to get in the game, now time to find anymore issues lol XD

This just worked for me as well, Thanks a lot, Chnaged my monitpr res, Then set the options back to max res in game then reset desktop bingo, Thanks again.
