"A ubisoft service is currently unavailable" and a "fix"
I tried to play this title yesterday, it's long since I last played it and back then it worked just as it should.

Yesterday I got a requester to put in my ubisoft password when I launched the game, I did that and got the "A ubisoft service is currently unavailable" message.

I tried everything found on the net about this error and then some, to no avail. As a last attempt I did go to Ubisoft webpage and removed the 2factor protection, now I could actually start the game and play it.

I did renable the 2Factor protection again just to be shure it was the culprit, and it was, after enabling 2F I got the "A ubisoft service is currently unavailable" error again.

I sincerely hope Ubisoft will fix this as it's not a good solution to have to remove 2F on my Ubisoft account just to play this game.

BTW.
After Ubisoft moved to the UbiConnect it's no longer possible to see the rewards I have in this game, Ubisoft website just shows a blank field.

Apologies for the late response.

Can you confirm if you are still experiencing this issue? Having the two step authenticator activated should not cause the error you were receiving.

With regards to your rewards for Settlers 7, I can confirm that this is a known issue and is being investigated.

Just tested it, and the 2factor seems no longer to be an issue, however, now I have to relogin to play this title, even if Ubisoftclient is open and I'm logged in there.

This single game seems to need a relogin, non of the other games require that.

Hey,

Just to let you know, we are already aware of this actually and are looking into why some players are being met with this error and we hope to find a solution soon. As a workaround, you can try adding your PC as a trusted device following these steps:

If you already have it set as a trusted device, remove it, log out of Ubisoft Connect, then re-add it as a trusted device and log back in. This workaround has been reported to work for some players.

The error appears to only affect players who have 2-Step Verification enabled, however we do not recommend disabling it.

Hi.
Tried the untrust and retrust workaround, still asking for a relogin when I start this game, even if I have the UBIClient running and is logged in.

The UBIClient used to know when the game was installed, that it does not anymore, it just shows a "download" button instead of a "Play" button, and if I push the download button I get reallocated to this error page https://store.steampowered.com/app/48120/ in the SteamClient

its the ubisoft launcher causing the probs. its been turned off and it cant update to get the launcher to start the game as the launcher needs an update. response from ubisoft is they turned it off and if we want to play the settlers games we have to rebuy them from the ubisoft store as they now only support the history versions of the settlers games that r on the unbisoft store. no other versions work anymore.

I cant even get the disk versions of the games to run for the same reason.
