Cannot Get Campaign To Work
Hi. Every time I try to start the campaign I get a few seconds in to the intro text and then quit and return to main menu. I've opened up the suggested ports and it still doesn't work. I'm using Win8.1 64bit if that makes a difference?

Pleas help, I want me some Hawx2

The game is unplayable.

Start UPlay in Offline mode (there's an option to 'go offline' when it's running) and then launch the game from UPlay. That did the trick for me. You can leave Steam online also so you can keep your overlay.

Sometimes it works by starting directly from Uplay

It seem impossible, but I just tried again and when the intro started, I pressed ESC + SPACE + ENTER repeatedly and the game started... :/

When I do this, Uplay still directs me to steam, and steam launches it anyway.

same thing to me :/ it's incredible that there isn't a real solution...

For some reason just starting the game with uPlay in offline mode meant the game stayed offline. I guess because it uses uPlay functions for its online instead of Steam, so Steam staying online doesn't matter. But this stopped working for me, so I had to find another solution.

I added a custom rule to Windows Firewall to block all incoming & outgoing traffic from HAWX 2 (the DX11 executable in my case). And now I can carry on playing the campaign. It leaves the MP out of action though, so definitely isn't ideal.

I have no idea why this should work. My only theory is there's some sort of weird always online DRM in place. If the DRM server doesn't give you a green light to play, you get booted to the main menu (maybe this server's down now?). But if you cut HAWX 2 off from the Internet completely, it assumes you have no Internet connection and skips this. It sounds insane, but it's the only explanation I can think of.
My solution (which isn't waterproof) is turning steam to offline, uplay to offline, turning of the antivirus (AVG) and launching from uplay.
This works most of the time, but if I close the game, I have to wait for a while before being able to get the game to work again. (for some reason it still gives me the error message when I try to start it a second time without restarting my pc or waiting for a while.)
