Mission Won't Start / New Story Won;t Start

When i open hawx 2 and then click on New Story to start paying it starts for about 10 sec and then it stops and take me back to the Main Menu ever time i can;t play the game, It start New Story and then 10 sec later it stops and go back to Main Menu. Any one know how to fix? Help Please?

same sadly... got my saitek x52 pro all setup, this reinstalled and it wont load a new game, somthing about not connecting to uplay's sever

same problem .... this problem started last year when Ubisoft began migrating its servers now it seems like the game is DOA

I think Ubisoft shut down the servers for this game and since you have to be logged into their servers to even play single player, then I guess that's all she wrote. It's a shame too because I really, REALLY enjoyed this game when I played it on my PS3, and I put over 30 hours into its predecessor here on Steam. Hopefully Ubisoft will release a patch that allows us to play the game independent from their servers.

I FIXED IT!!!

UPDATE: The non-starting issue is fixed by port-forwarding the following ports in your router and allowing them in your firewall:

UDP: 3074
TCP: 777, 51967, 3074

The port fowarding thing isnt the issue, Tried that, most of us have....

This is going to sound so simple it's stupid...
everyone having this problem I am going to guess are using the xbox pc controlers?

Step 1) ok.... plug in controler.
Step 2) Start game
Step 3) goto Options | Control Layouts - switch to keyboard and mouse. Apply settings
Step 4) Start mission / new game
Step 5) once loaded into the level go back to options and change back to your controler and enjoy playing

The port forwarding/firewall changes worked for me and it has been working ever since. :P

Works like a champ. Wish there was a complete workaround without having to use uplay servers for single player though.

For the record, and it really sounds stupid: You have to change the control layout from "Keyboard and Mouse" to "your_controller_name". Then it works… fascinating. It was definitely not about the firewall config for me!

This got the game working for me, DX9. DX11 does not load.

This plus setting joystick to default settings (and then changing keys to your preference) worked. If DX11 does not load and you use MSI Afterburner do a profile in RTSS for low detection and viewport.
