Mae's shirt, ideas?
I decided to post this in the spoiler section. Since what I hope for is comments from both people whom have finished the game and not.

I feel like that a lot of the clothing every other character wears has a lot to say about whom they are. But Mae, even though we follow her story, perspective or regardless of what you wish to call it, what does her represent? I'd like to hear people's thoughts regarding this. Maybe it's obvious and I'm just completely oblivious... or maybe I'm reading too much into stuff

I personally think the zero on her shirt is a large part of who she actually is. She left college, she doesn't appear to have plans for the future, she is obviously troubled by her own past (at least regarding certain events mentioned in the game (killer)), she's obviously suffering from something, depression, hallicunations or I don't even know what's real from her point of view or not, she has the bourden of potentionaly having ruined (financily) their family. She mildly has A LOT on her shoulders. If I had even half of that, I'm sure I'd feel like a "zero" myself

Bah, I'm terrible at words. Hopefully someone understands and has a better explenation xD or even hopefully someone doesn't understand and has an even better explenation

Actually, I've been thinking about it for a while. I think Mae's shirt may represent a cloth garment manufactured from cotton or other fibrous material.

But what if it's made of a cult of super cloth weavers from an evil goat or something?

one of the devs said something about it, I believe they said it was simply something she made in high school and thought the nil symbol was cool.

someone did say something to them about it representing non binary people:

Infinite Fall Creator on November 19, 2013

Fluffy: The symbol on Mae's shirt is just a boring 'ol a null set symbol. Thanks for cluing us in on the neutrois identification, really cool to read about and a nice coincidence.

ALSO: the symbol is backwards sometimes because at the time of the trailer we hadn't made different sprites for Mae facing left and right, so it just flips. *BEHIND THE SCENES SECRETS*

just gonna say it isnt my words. someone asked a questioin about it and thats the answer they got, and i just happened to see it and remember it. im on the side of it not representing anyone, id say its just a null symbol, nothing, zero.
