Battery removal?

I'm at the part where you remove a battery from a car in a grab minigame, but Mae's hand can't actually grab anything? And if I escape out the screen goes black with music and I can't do anything

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I'm also stuck here. Same issues. I can brush away the leaves and then.... nothing.

I've contacted the developer and they said that the patch tonight should address this bug.

They also said that if you just interact with the wires enough it should work, but I wasn't able to

remove the leaves very quickly, all at once! I told the dev on twitter that I felt the glitch happened when I tried pulling on the wires before having removed all the leaves. He then figured out the bug happens if you pause between removing leaves, this makes them glitch out.
