Animated shorts

For Kickstarter backers there was one reward about seeing short animations before anyone else. Did they ever release those to the public?

They haven't finished making them.

They finished one ('Gregg & Angus') before release of the game, but as development on the game continued they didn't have time to finish the others as they focused on the game. Post-release, Scott started working on them again, but was then similarly delayed by having to develop the Weird Autumn Edition. Now that that has wrapped up, it will presumably start again.

The original intention of the shorts was that backers would see each of them as they were made, before anyone else, and then once all four of them were complete, they would be edited into a trailer for the game that was to be released before the game released. While that obviously didn't happen, I imagine something similar will still apply -- that is, Backers will see them as they are made, and once all of them are done, they will make it into something that is released to the public.

Nope. I can't imagine anything being out for the public until all the shorts are finished.

I've seen it and it's pretty nice, though. It's especially nice seeing the characters in a more cinemtatic fashion than the game. Here's a sneak peak screenshot:

the shorts are pretty short, just as a note. the gregg and angus one is about a minute long. it's nice though. the idea behind the shorts is that they depict a day in the spring before the game begins (title card says 4 years ago, but that might have changed since) that was important to all the characters. i'm pretty sure the day is going to turn out to be the day of the Killer Incident, but nothing has been said, and with only one short so far it's hard to know for sure.
