mae's hair isn't dyed though, it looks exactly the same when she's a kid, too.
But Elektron is right. None of their genders really matter. Except maybe Gregg's and Angus', since the whole being the only gay couple in the town is part of their story.
I don't know why so many seems to have trouble with it. I thought their genders were obvious just from the names. None of those are gender-neutral, especially none of the main four.
Though I did think that Lori was a boy, until I got her name.
