Dear gamers, let's discuss the situation about the state of the developers

And i will start with copy/paste of my review.

I love this game and it is definitely one of my favorites of all time and shaped my life significantly.
Initially my review was positive and overwhelmed by emotions, but after the incident with Alec Holowka i have some things to say.

So, Alec Holowka, composer and coder of the game "r a p e d" Zoe Quinn. Right. There is no proof, only some nonsense hysteria by the latter. If your read what she said in sober mind you'll find how nonsensical it is. So after some years after it happened, Alec gained popularity and she decided to say how "bad" he was. Riiight. She didn't come to police to say that he was a predator-raper, that he didn't allow her to talk to anyone and even leave the house. Riiiiight...

So... what did Alec's friends and co-developers of the great game did? Helped him with the situation? Yeaaa... no. They just decided to betray him and throw away like trash. And all that just because some girl just said some things without any evidence. They didn't even wait for some legal accusations and any court trials. Nice friends i must admit.

SO... it might be early, but you might think that public will react accordingly, that they will see filthy lies and won't support what developers did? Yeaaa... NO! If you'll read their twitter and other social media there is overwhelmingly lots of people who say that they did the right thing. Yeah... Did you even play the game, or even know people who did it, or even READ what the whole situation is all about? Or did you just see the word "r a p e" and started to blame the "raper"? Hello! That Zoe Quinn, as stated by one of her boyriends, slept with journalists just to get positive reviews for her game, just sayin'.

Conclusion. The company's current project is cancelled. There will be no physical copy of the game. Career of a nice guy is ruined. Way to go!

I hope some popular sane people will understand what the whole situation is about and won't let injustice to thrive. And also for a record there is my old review:

"OH MY GOD! WHY DID THIS GAME END?
It is so awesome. The characters, the story, the atmosphere, the music, the art style... IT IS SO AWESOME!
An unforgetable expirience! Totally worth every dollar!
So amazing that i've been waiting for this game for three years and it turned out EVEN BETTER than i could've ever expected!

has proof surfaced that he *hasn't* sexually abused someone? numerous coworkers of his have said that he seemed creepy and pervy on several occasions. you people always get so defensive whenever somebody accuses another person with sexual assault allegations, even if it doesn't directly effect you.

So, I'm just gonna leave two thoughts on this and peace out, because I've already seen enough of this discussion play out on Twitter and Reddit and it's all just depressing at this point. (Also, friendly reminder or FYI - Quinn uses they/them pronouns.)

1) For everyone saying "why did she wait for so long instead of going to the police as soon as possible", I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you don't personally know anybody who's been r*ped or sexually assaulted. It is hands-down one of the most (if not THE most) traumatic things that can happen to a person, and there are plenty of reasons why they might not choose to come forward right away. Not the least of which is because of the intense amount of scrutiny and victim-blaming they tend to face from everyone, including possibly the police.

2) For everyone asking "where is the proof", someone on the NITW subreddit linked a couple tweets from other people in the industry backing up the allegations. (The person on Reddit said that they had seen more, but didn't think to save them at the time.) And yeah, most of them are just along the lines of "I believe Zoe", but three of them are from people who were either directly mentioned in Quinn's story, or have been told about Alec's atrocious actions by other victims.

i'm sorry that some people are empathetic as to not deny someone who claims to have been sexually abused, and who has multiple coworkers of the accused coming up and speaking out against the accused.
