Would A Night In The Woods Movie Work? (SPOILERS)
Think about it, A movie adaptation of the game of 2017 that will (sooner or latter) Become a classic(?). Here is the Pros and Cons of a NITW Movie Adaptation.(SPOILERS)
PROS:
A nice trip of NITW in a certain point of view.
Get to see all your favourite characters in the bigscreen.
A amazing recreation of the Knife fight scene,Party with Bea,etc
A more Beautiful version of Mae's Dream Sequences.
Reorchestrated and Remixed versions of Die Anywhere Else, Weird Autumn, Pumpkin Head Guy and the entire soundtrack.
Hidden easter eggs around other famous indie games.
CONS:
Could have a change or a thing not from the game that will shock or anger NITW fans off.
Making Gregg too "annoying" (Gregg rulz ok)
Making MaeBea shipping forced.
Make the "Cult" have their faces revealed.
A backstory of Casey.

That is my opinon what would you think of a NITW movie adaptation?

SPOILERS FOR THE FINAL ONE! I know what your thinking? But dude, Casey is dead the game told us about him! Well one thing, you is right but not how he died,Before he died...I mean...it would be nice to see more about Casey but....If the movie version has a plot twist to a theory that Casey is Eide, then it would kill the mystery of Eide.
you know theres a sub forum for spoiler chats right?

And No god no i wouldn't want a NITW film adaptation at all, most movie films completly flop and i wouldn't have hopes for a NITW themed movie.

In addition there are many aspects that would have to be accounted for things like - The optional scenes Germ, Lori etc.

And the vast ammount of misable things there wouldn't really be a way to get the emotional story into a proper movie NITW is a game with multiple tracks convosations compelling characters it works as a video game and that's as far as i think it can work.
If there was a movie it could not possibly be linear or in other words entirely from Mae's point of view. It would have to start a bit more in the past, before college, it would have to have multiple points of view. Scenes with Gregg and Angus, scenes with Bea by herself with her dad. Mae would only be a part of a bigger picture, but act as some sort of driving force for the story. Back stories and other side things could be presented in the form of flash backs or dream sequences, but that leads to sacrificing the original platforming dream sequences that have deeper meaning to them. And who knows how a movie could possibly present the cat god and the ending.

"Aah! now you got me. To be honest, I didn't think about this whole flashback thing, This cat god (I shall call it,him...thing "Morpheus") presentation thing could be one thing that needs to be answered in the movie version, In the game Mae is like "Are you a god?" And Morpheus" says "No I aint god, The world is ending yadadada, my work is done here" That was a waste of a dream yet very deep...I wish we could see more of him....And the softball incident....yeah...I would like that to be seen as a flashback too...I would love to see interactions with Casey and Mae...but not in a "Casey is Eide" way.....People wondered what else could be in the hole besides the Black Goat and dead kids/teens...Or where was Aunt Molly during epilogue...You've got strong points there...It doesn't matter if the movie flopped or did great....I would still enjoy it.. P.S The name Morpheus isn't a Matrix reference it's an actually god name.

"Not all video-game based movies are good....atleast some negativity is honest.
(let's all just hope and pray the FNAF movie doesn't or mostly suck)"

I know I'm necroing the ♥♥♥♥ out of this thread, but I think it'd work better as a television miniseries. Each episode is an hour long and narrates a single day.

Necro #2 here, but not to the same extent.

I don't like the idea of a NITW movie, but I like this idea. Ultimately, as amazing as the Gregg story is, I found the Bea one far more... meaningful, so I'd hope that it'd focus on the 'Bea side' of things.
