Knife fight tips?

So I'm going to play through the game again sometime soon, so that I can collect the last few acheivements. The only one I can see giving me grief is the 'Knife Fight' acheivement.

I've always completely sucked at that one minigame in particular, so if anybody has any tips or strategies, I'd love to hear them.

I think you need to predict what move Gregg would do... once he stabs you once or twice spam the C button as much as you can before he backs out. (If your lucky, you can break his dagger)
If this doesnt work, watch a video about it and practice, If you lose dont skip to the next part otherwise your save file is overwritten forcing you to start again just close your game via start menu and play Night in the woods again so you cant lose your save file.

Gonna be honest, I was most successful just spamming attack over and over again, especially when you get one opening. He doesn't move that fast up and down so if you get him once then you can usually get him again in the same position at least once more.
