Now that big youtuber JackSepticEye uploaded his first part of his playthrough of this game, I'm starting to get upset at the fact that people are going to flock over to this game and ruin it. This was the thing I was afraid of since I first played this game and now it just leaves me in a bitter mood.

Ah, chill. Every indie game fanbase panics when a big Let's Player picks it up, but believe it or not fanbases like FNAF and Undertale are outliers. It'll pass.

Just scroll past the LPer fan fursona pics and try and focus on the positives. At least the devs are getting paid more for the cool thing they made now.

i never really cared for a large fan base. i just hate feeling embarrased for saying something like "i really do like undertale" when a million people who never truly liked it and youtubers that continue to milk it out ruined it for us

Haha bug off, it doesn't matter one bit how someone came to find a game. The devs worked their ass off to make something, and they want as many as people as possible to get to experience it.

right? accidentally saw it on storefront and just bought it w/o lookin at anything. never ever do that. this was the best case scenario from doing that.

Because a bunch of people playing a game after they saw it on Youtube and giving their money to the developers somehow makes your personal experience worse or something. :P

Undertale is barf. Just another 'retro-styled graphics' generic indie game made in rpgmaker. What is even special about it?

This game is in a totally different league of it's own compared to that vomit.

I played it, and I feel the same as Ozelot. It really wasn't that fun and some of the characters made me sick, mainly Sans.


But yeah, as someone who's been following NITW since late 2015, I'd hate to see it be the next UT.

it's fair for you to think that since you played it. but i feel like how the community (unintentionally) portrayed the game influenced many others on how they felt on it as well. the annoyance of seeing the characters daily and being overglorified did take an impact on people's view of the game, and i fear the same for this if it gets large

Yeah I played the game day 1 and loved it, I seriously feel like all the hate the game gets is because of it's fanbase. However this is a board for NitW, not Undertale.

i understand this, but i'm using undertale as a comparison as to what can happen to this game

just be ready for mass destruction, even if it doesn't happen
